Our Structure
Since its inception in 2005, InnoValHC, the Institute for Innovation & Valuation in Health Care ("Institut für Innovation & Evaluation im Gesundheitswesen e.V."), has been officially recognized as a not-for-profit organization under German law, directly supporting science and research. The not-for-profit status (“Gemeinnützigkeit”) of InnoValHC was confirmed by local authorities on May 22, 2023, and will be valid until May 22, 2028.
The Institute’s scientific activities are led by its management team, comprised of Michael Schlander (Chairman & Scientific Director), Oliver Schwarz (Econometrics), and Erik Trott (Medical Affairs). The team is supported by internal staff and visiting scientists. The board members also provide scientific guidance and oversight of management and consulting projects, which are led by our independent partner organizations, PrimeMover Associates in Basel, Switzerland (Managing Partner, Peter Lauper), and Inno-Val-HC Forschungsgesellschaft mbH in Wiesbaden, Germany (Inno-Val-HC Research Inc., Managing Director, Hans-Joachim Hasemann-Trutzel). “Inno-Val-HC Research Inc.” is also a corporate member of the Institute.
