We bring together different perspectives that are often separated organizationally and professionally: scientific health economics, extensive and successful industry experience, and strategic patient access.

Integrated patient access rather than siloed thinking

Stakeholder perspectives:
we are aware of the need of policy-makers and payers to set spending limits and hence priorities in collectively financed health systems, creating a need to find a balance between sometimes conflicting objectives, from ensuring system sustainability and value for money to timely and equitable access to innovative medicines.

Functional perspectives:
our experience spans the entire market access pathway - from clinical development through evidence generation for HTA and pricing & reimbursement to actual patient access.

Our strength therefore lies in connecting institutions and functions, not in overturning stakeholder interests or in replacing individual specialists. This differentiates us from both pure pricing & reimbursement consultants, operational freelancers, and public relations and lobbying agents. Decades of experience across industry, academia, and working with policy-makers allow us to challenge assumptions, identify contradictions between functions, and to test complex decisions for their downstream consequences.

Scientific credibility

Our academic foundation allows us to assess evidence not only from a financial perspective, but also to critically evaluate scientific robustness, uncertainty, and HTA relevance. This is becoming particularly important in the context of innovative technologies and small patient populations, for example in oncology and rare disorders, as well as for complex gene & cell therapies and ATMPs. Complexity is further increased by the dynamically changing regulatory environment, including the introduction and evolution of Joint Clinical Assessments (JCAs) in the European Union.
