Heidelberg Health Economics Summer School 2026
The upcoming Heidelberg Health Economics Summer School, an interactive, high-level program offered by InnoValHC under the auspices of the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg, will be a unique opportunity in 2026 for an in-depth exchange with international thought leaders in the theory, practice, and evolution of using health economic evaluations to inform health technology assessments (HTAs).
The Summer School 2026 will comprise two program modules. In response to feedback and considering prior experience, we will offer again a Basic Program | Module I (3 days, introductory level) and a Core Program | Module II (3 days, intermediate to advanced level), which can be booked separately or in combination – in order to better distinguish with basics (the conventional paradigm of cost-effectiveness and economic evaluation) and the state-of-the-art of the debate how to better address the links and gaps between theoretical foundations, current practice, and stakeholder expectations – also in order to reflect the objectives and actual conduct of HTAs, including health economic evaluation.
The Program Modules in 2026 will be enhanced by special events including Evening Receptions.
