Education & Outreach

Members of the Institute have been involved in teaching econometrics, statistics, health economics, medical and managerial decision analysis, and innovation and change management courses in academic settings as well in executive education programs, at institutions such as the London School of Economics (LSE), the European Market Access University Diploma (EMAUD) program at the University Claude Bernard Lyon I (UCBL I), the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (FSFM), and the Universities of Heidelberg, Mannheim, Heilbronn, and Ludwigshafen.

Apart from tailor-made courses and executive programs, the Heidelberg Health Economics Summer School has been a pillar of the Institute’s education and outreach activities since 2006.

In 2026, we will offer again an interactive, high-level Health Economics Summer School Program – an outstanding opportunity for in-depth exchange with international thought leaders in the theory, practice, and evolution of using health economic evaluations to inform health technology assessments (HTAs).
