Heidelberg Health Economics Summer School 2024
This year´s Heidelberg Health Economics Summer School, a high-level, full week program offered by InnoValHC under the auspices of the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg, will address the role of (health) economic evaluation in the regulatory context of formal Health Technology Assessments (HTAs).
The Summer School 2024 will move to a new site in the Dolomites – the NOI Techpark and NOBIS conference center, recently opened by the city of Bruneck-Brunico (Pustertal-Val Pusteria) in cooperation with the “Nature of Innovation” (NOI) network of research institutes rooted in South Tyrol / Italy and the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, and will take place from September 23-27, 2024.
The Core Program of the Summer School 2024 will run from Monday through Friday, with an option to arrive on Monday morning. The scientific program will be enhanced by a special event on Wednesday evening – participants will be invited to a “fireside chat” with Thomas B. Cueni, until recently Director General of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA), long-time Secretary General of Interpharma, and Secretary of the Biopharmaceutical CEO Round Table (BCR).
In addition to an intense scientific program, dedicated to “New Perspectives for Health Economics & Health Technology Assessments (HTAs)”, participants will be invited to a Welcome Reception at the Bruneck-Brunico Castle with its RIPA Messner Mountain Museum – including a tour personally guided by Christian Tschurtschenthaler, the former mayor of Bruneck-Brunico.
The program on Thursday will take place at the LUMEN museum & event space on the summit plateau of the Kronplatz (2,275m above sea level), surrounded by spectacular views of the Dolomites. A guided tour to the LUMEN Museum of Mountain Photography during an extended lunch break will be organized as well.
