Speeding Up Innovation

At the First European Forum on the subject in Madrid, Spain, November 27, 2023, Michael Schlander discussed how to speed up innovation to patients in light of the impact of ongoing and future reform of the European pharmaceutical legislation, including opportunities at the national levels and potential solutions to the main challenges. For an exchange of best practices across Europe, César Hernández (General Director of Health Portfolio and Pharmacy of the Spanish Ministry of Health), Marco Marchietti (Director of the HTA Unit at the Italian Agency for Regional Health Services and co-chair of the EU HTA Coordination Group), and Floriane Pelon (Director of Evaluation and Access to Innovation at the Haute Autorité de Santé in France) joined the debate under the leadership of Pere Ibern from Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain.
